Pastor's Thoughts

Today’s church environment is created by two things.

1. It’s created by the influence of whatever ministers focus on. In our study time, we have to decide how much PURE TRUTH we will present to our congregations. There certainly needs to be wisdom in approaching topics that are controversial and deep. We need to do so with clarity and even simplicity when possible. Unfortunately, such an approach is often stained with compromise, as a result, the church suffers. As Christians, the human experience should be guided by the Spirit, not the other way around.

2. It’s created by the will of the people. Are they hungry for God with an unbridled passion, or do they want to keep His Spirit in a limited role? Do they already have their lives planned out and do they want the church, the cross, God’s Holy Word and the messaging, all to fit within their plans? Is our seeker friendly approach just a modification of a worldly system designed for gathering numbers of people. Jesus invented “SEEKER FRIENDLY,” we are SEEKING His plan of outreach.

On our best day, we all come up short in our attempts to live in God’s best. But that doesn’t mean it’s unattainable. It just means we need to come to know Him AND His ways. God complemented Moses concerning his desire to know Him. Then in the New Testament, Paul’s beautiful passion for Christ was put on display through his writings in Philippians chapter 3.

At Life Arena, our goal is to give people the unadulterated truth, the pure gospel as we know it, as we grow deeper in the knowledge of Jesus Christ. There is no false sense of confidence here. The arm of flesh has no power or influence in His presence. Our need for constant change requires us to learn to trust fully in the Lord and we are finding it more than worth the price. So wherever you are in your journey, join with those of us who desire His destiny to manifest itself in His House. Seek and you shall find.
